My most embarrassing date ever...

Have you ever had a date you wish you could erase from history? I know I have... Back in the day, I had some serious digestive issues- ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel disease- it sucked. At the time, I didn’t know anything about natural health so I was trying to control everything with pharmaceuticals. It wasn't working very well. Then I met a great guy who I really liked. We went on a few dates that went so well that I invited him to my place to watch a movie. At the time, I was living in a small studio apartment so the bathroom was in ear-shot of the rest of the apartment. The date happened on one of my “bad days” meaning I kept having to run to the bathroom knowing he could hear everything that was happening!!! Talk about mortifying!!! It turns out all the sugar I was eating back then was not helping my cause. Studies now show that high fructose diets lead to digestive issues as well as metabolic problems and diabetes. You see, sugars digest slowly so they often ferment in the gut, which can cause gas and bloating. So not sexy!!!! So what’s a lady looking for a little somethin’ somethin' to do? Simple- cut way back on the sweet stuff! Using low or zero-glycemic sweeteners like monk fruit can really alleviate stomach issues and then you can get your groove on. And have no fear- soon you'll have Shift Bars, the perfect sugar-free snack.
